James K. Larsen is the founder and Managing Attorney of Larsen Immigration Law, believed to be the first immigration law firm in Cedar Park, Texas. He practices exclusively in U.S. federal immigration law, representing businesses and families in employment-based and family-based immigration matters as well as removal defense before the immigration courts.

James has worked in immigration law since 2008. Before founding the firm, he spent more than a decade at some of the nation's most respected immigration practices — including Foster LLP, one of the country's premier business immigration firms, and Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment firms in the United States. That background gives his clients something unusual for a local firm: big-firm experience in complex employer compliance and visa work, delivered with the accessibility and personal attention of a community practice.

On the employer side, James has substantial experience with H-2A and H-2B seasonal worker programs, H-1B and L-1 visas, PERM labor certifications, and Form I-9 / E-Verify compliance, including representing companies in government audits and investigations. He has advised organizations across agriculture, healthcare, construction, and technology. On the family side, he guides clients through sponsorship petitions, adjustment of status, consular processing, waivers, naturalization, and defense against removal — including "crimmigration" cases at the intersection of criminal and immigration law.

James speaks Spanish and has deep ties to the Latino community in Central Texas. He is also active in local civic life: in 2022 he led the "Keep Leander Connected" campaign, a 60-day grassroots effort that preserved commuter rail and public transit service for his community.
